TECH INSPECTION

It is the attendee’s responsibility to have a safe vehicle for the event. All cars must pass tech inspection by a qualified mechanic. Cars will not be permitted to run without the completed tech sheet. If you do not have the skills and knowledge to perform these checks, please have this done by a professional mechanic. Bring the completed Tech Sheet to the Event Registration at the track.

ITEMS TO BE INSPECTED

Fluids

Your car should be free of leaks of any kind. You should inspect all your fluids prior to the event to be sure they are at proper levels and have been changed at the correct interval. Including but not limited to oil, brake, clutch, coolant, power steering and transmission fluid.

Tires and Wheels

All tires have a date code stamped on the sidewall of the tire from the manufacturer. All tires must be no older than 5 years. Tires must have a speed rating appropriate for the vehicle. Tread depth must be greater than the wear bars. No puncture repair plugs, cording, sidewall damage, or defects. Wheels must be crack and damage free. All lug nuts present and secured at proper torque.

No open-wheel cars!

Brake System

It is highly recommended brakes be bled before and after track events. We highly recommend brake fluid with a Dry Boiling Point of 580 F or higher and racing or performance brake pads. Brakes must have 50% or more pad material remaining. Rotors must show no damage, cracks, etc. Brake lines must be damage free. Two brake lights must be fitted and in working order (and not wired in a way that allows them to be switched off or delayed).

Fire Extinguisher/System

It is recommended that participants have, at a minimum, a 2.5 lb. fire extinguisher securely mounted in the cabin of the car and easily accessible to the driver. (No zip ties or tape.) If you are trapped in a car and it catches fire, an extinguisher may just save your life!

Seat Belts

Seat belts are required in all cars. Three point stock seat belts are ok. Five-point harnesses are recommended.

Helmet

Helmet must be SNELL SA 2015 or newer.

Convertibles

Permitted in any run group only if:

1:  Fitted with aftermarket roll bar, roll cage, or hard top; or

2: Equipped with OEM roll hoops that are designated as roll-over protection.

Battery

Battery must be securely mounted and the positive connection insulated to prevent grounding.
