EVENT INFORMATION

RUN GROUPS

West Coast HPDE events are organized into “run” groups. Please sign up according to your experience level. This is for your safety and enjoyment, as well as others on the track. You can always ask to have your group changed during the event by asking one of our coaches.

Novice

All first-timers should register for Novice. This is a program designed to provide the confidence and basic knowledge to enjoy safe track driving. The program includes skid pad exercises, a track tour session, on-track and classroom instruction, as well as, solo track time. Track time follows the same rules as Green. This is a one-day program. Those enrolled in the Novice program on Saturday are encouraged to register for the Green group on Sunday.

Green

Limited track experience. Moderate pace. Coach Ride-A Longs are included. Passing is allowed on the front and back straights only. Point-by is required. All passing on the left only.

Yellow

Some track or HPDE experience. Accelerated pace. Passing is allowed on the front and back straights only. Point-by is recommended. All passing on the left only.

Blue

Significant track and HPDE experience. Fast-paced. Passing anywhere on the track. Point-by required in the corners and recommended on the straights. All passing on the left only.

Red

Extensive track and or race experience. Fastest pace. Must be experienced in passing at a fast pace. Passing anywhere on the track. No point-by required. Passing may be either on the left or right. Track-prepped cars recommended with roll cage and a five or six-point harness. Fire-retardant race suit required.

WILLOW SPRINGS RACEWAY

WSR requires a gate entry fee($20per person) as well as a liability form signature. This is not part of our entry fee or liability waiver.

WSR gate opens at 7:00 am.

Overnight parking and stay at the track are permitted. Please check with WSR for any additional requirements.

Cars and trailers may be dropped off Friday before the event date.

There is racing fuel available at the track. Hours of operation Saturday and Sunday are 7:00 AM to 5:00 pm.

CAR AND DRIVER REQUIREMENTS

To participate in the event all cars and drivers must meet the requirements specified here and here, respectively.

CHILDREN

All children under 16yrs must be accompanied by an adult while onsite.
